9 October: escort task G 11: M 4615 and M 4614 with Holstein and Marguerite in tow of Quatrième to Jersey, with Quendowick to Saint-Malo. Submit measures and departure report by 14:00. 14:30: harbour commandant reports Quendowick only going to Jersey. 19:50: boats sailed. 20:00: took over convoy in roads, M 4614 towing Quendowick, M 4615 leading. Wind SSE 2, slight swell, clear sky, hazy. 22:01: Quatrième reports towline broken. 22:20: tow restored. 23:16, Ida 5: released convoy for Saint Helier, then took over Corona and Irene. Formations in original. M 4613 normal readiness at Saint-Malo. Signed Meier.
