9 August 1941 Channel Islands Harbour Commandant diary
St Helier: wind north-west force 3, sea state 2, visibility sixteen nautical miles. From 01:00 to 05:00, the Sark and Sorel Point lights were shown at half-hourly intervals at the request of Naval Artillery Commander Normandy (Marko Normandie).
12:50: Steamer H 7 entered from Granville with patrol boats V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4009. H 7 carried building material.
18:20: Steamer H 23 and patrol boats V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4009 sailed for Granville.
20:45: Two harbour-defence boats sailed to tow in the motor lighter Seigon [source spelling], which had anchored four nautical miles north of La Corbiere lighthouse following engine damage. St Peter Port: no incidents.
