Secret. Attachment to Corps Ia 272/43 (144), 8 January 1943. Return of emergency units, reporting date 10 January 1943. Columns: formation; officers, NCOs and men; organisation; armament; deployment on the reporting date, distinguishing front-line and reserve locations; task; method and duration of assembly.

The return covers the 716th, 709th, 165th and 319th divisions, Corps Signals Battalion 460 and Corps Headquarters. The emergency detachments reinforce resistance nests, divisional or battalion reserves and the corps reserve. Mainland places include Saint-Martin-des-Entrées, Vrasville northeast of Cherbourg, Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte and Saint-Lô. Island reserve locations include Saint Andrew on Guernsey and Sous l'Église on Jersey. The original numerical return is reproduced to retain the strengths, weapons and rotation details.
