Weather: NNW 7/8, squally, occasional rain showers, moderate visibility, broken cloud cover; later easing with very good visibility.
1958: Eight air-raid alarms during the night. Numerous approaches by unidentified aircraft to Cap de la Hague and Cherbourg, Querqueville airfield and Jersey airfield. Some aircraft fire recognition signals after being fired on. One aircraft over Jersey gives an incorrect recognition signal. [Signed Fink.]
