00:45, Guernsey — The Krähenberg bearing station reported a single burst of L.G. firing [source abbreviation] on bearing 70°, range 25 kilometres. At 05:00 the announced seaplane from St Nazaire was cancelled.
08:45, Alderney — Six escort destroyers on varying courses and three Liberty ships northbound were reported in grid B.F. 3551. At about 10:00 five escort destroyers departed for Cherbourg; the sixth remained.
09:00 — Wind north-west 4–5; sea 3; visibility 15 nautical miles; cloud 7/10; cloud base 1,000 metres.
09:00–11:30 — Batteries Strasbourg, Generaloberst Dollmann, 10./-, 16./1265 and Klein Sark stood ready as artillery protection for the convoy.
09:15 — M 4613, F.L. 13 and Pondichery sailed for Jersey. Fregattenkapitän von Kalkreuth, appointed Senior Naval Officer Jersey, was embarked.
10:00–12:30, Jersey — 5./- and 2./1265 stood ready for the convoy. At 10:01 ‘Fliegeralarm’ was reported for a hostile aircraft west of Guernsey; at 10:25 the all-clear reported the aircraft departing south.
11:25, Guernsey — One escort destroyer in grid B.F. 2662, course south-west.
