Clear but very hazy, visibility 4–5 nautical miles; SSW 6–8, rough sea. 0545: Vp 704/1510 with RO 8 departed for Guernsey; the relieved 2nd Company, Construction Battalion 158, and Army Coastal Battery 461 were aboard. 0903: HS 175/191 departed for Cherbourg. 1159: A Bristol Blenheim approached from the north, dived to 200 metres at the head of the western mole, then turned north.
