08:00 weather: east-north-east force 7–9, gusty, sea 4–5, visibility eight nautical miles, wholly overcast, cloud base 1,000 metres. All planned convoys cancelled owing to weather. 12:00 weather: north-north-east force 7–8, sea 5, visibility eight nautical miles, heavily overcast, cloud base 1,500 metres. During the afternoon a destroyer on the southern waiting station briefly sighted. 18:00 weather: north-east force 8, sea 5, visibility eight to fifteen nautical miles, lightly overcast, cloud base 1,500 metres.
19:40: order to all subordinate Guernsey units and broadcast to all on H.S.K.: firing and illumination prohibited for all weapons from 23:00 to 04:00, except if enemy aircraft attack. This protects two He 111s due to land on Guernsey between 00:00 and 00:30. The aircraft did not land owing to weather over the islands; supplies dropped over the sea, including the thrust bearing for S 112's centre engine.
