Wednesday. Effective 5 March, on Naval Commander Channel Coast’s orders, the following twelve motor fishing cutters were transferred from the Sea Rescue Formation to Cherbourg Port Defence Flotilla: 1. Gebrüder; 2. Apollo; 3. Vesta; 4. Direktor Zirkel; 5. Alstertor; 6. Antilope; 7. Else; 8. Sagitta; 9. Heimat, Sto 28; 10. Anita, Stra 33; 11. Glückauf, Ecke 1; 12. Helfera, Ecke 3 [name as typed].
Thus the bases at Saint-Malo and Saint Peter Port are incorporated into Cherbourg Port Defence Flotilla. The Cherbourg base ceases to exist [for this formation].
