15:40–16:00 — Anti-Aircraft Battalion 292 provided anti-aircraft cover while M 4613 entered Guernsey. M 4613 arrived at 15:40.
18:00 — Wind north 5–6; sea 3–4; visibility 8 nautical miles; cloud 5/10; cloud base 1,000 metres.
19:45 — From 21:30 a ban on lights and firing at air targets was ordered for the landing of a He 111, except in the event of a recognised enemy attack. The aircraft landed at 23:04 and the ban was lifted.
A supply voyage by F.K. 27/28 from Jersey to the Minquiers and back was planned for 10:00 on 6 January.
From flag parade to flag parade all naval forces and merchant ships flew flags at half-mast in mourning for Fregattenkapitän der Reserve Breithaupt, former commander of the 24th Minesweeping Flotilla Karl Friedrich Brill, whose supply aircraft had been shot down by enemy night fighters near Bastogne.
