5 August, 00:05: M 4615, M 4616 and M 4627 sailed from Saint-Malo as ordered, led by M 4615's commander, normal formation. 00:40: Ida 1. 01:48: four nautical miles before Ida 2, encountered V 708 with convoy and exchanged ES signals. 02:13: Ida 2, turned onto Heart Route. 03:00: wind SW 2–3, sea 1, cloud 8/10, moderate visibility. 03:45: Point 334. 05:45: entered Lézardrieux and anchored in the inner roads. Intention: sail at 21:30 with M 4615, M 4616, M 4627 and V 205 for Guernsey.
10:15: radio 0920/90 from Saint-Malo escort office: today at 22:00 V 205 and M 4627 to Guernsey, M 4615 and M 4616 to Jersey. 18:10: radio 1731/19 changes this to M 4615 and M 4627 to Jersey. 22:30: M 4615 with M 4616, M 4627 and V 205 weighed anchor and sailed from Lézardrieux.
