08:00 weather: north-north-west force 6, sea 4, visibility twelve nautical miles, heavily clouded, cloud base 1,000 metres. At first light the two destroyers on the northern and southern waiting stations sighted. 12:00 weather: north force 5–7, sea 3–4, visibility fifteen nautical miles, partly overcast, cloud base 1,500 metres.
Today's planned proof firing of the 8.8-cm battery on Little Sark cancelled because the accompanying convoy to Sark cannot sail owing to weather. The destroyer on the northern waiting station passed out of sight at midday. 18:00 weather: north force 6–7, sea 3–4, visibility fifteen nautical miles, heavily overcast, cloud base 1,200 metres.
