Reference: your letter registry No. 151/secret command matter of 27 June 1940. Subject: Channel Islands. One enclosure. Two copies; first copy.

In reply to the inquiry of 26 June 1940, registry No. 151 secret command matter, the enclosed report by a reliable confidential informant on his week-long visit to the Norman island of Guernsey in July 1938 is submitted.

It has so far proved impossible to obtain information about the other islands.

According to a notice in the Kölnische Zeitung of 29 June 1940, the Channel Islands are said to have been demilitarised by the English. An article on this subject from the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung of 30 June 1940 is enclosed.

Please therefore advise whether further inquiries concerning the Channel Islands are still of interest.
