Transport of the 320th Division is proceeding according to plan. Headquarters I/729 moved from Montebourg to Octeville, twenty kilometres northeast of Valognes; III/729 moved from Le Ham to Montebourg. During the night of 3/4 January numerous enemy aircraft crossed the 716th Division sector. At 20:08 an enemy aircraft strafed the Paris–Cherbourg express near Moult, southeast of Caen: one civilian killed and two seriously injured. Enemy air activity over the Channel Islands. No further special incidents.
