Battery Elsaß engaged two Spitfires flying close above the sea past Alderney’s north-west coast. No hits were observed. Ammunition expenditure: 13 rounds, 2 cm. The aircraft departed southwards. They were probably searching for the Douglas C-47 shot down on the previous day.
