Editorial note: Monthly report or annex; placed at the end of the reporting month because no single document date is supplied. Dates within the text retain their original meaning.
For further development of the island defences, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th Companies of Fortress Construction Battalion 149 moved to Guernsey, while 6th Company, Fortress Construction Battalion 40, moved to Jersey. On 30 November four 22 cm guns for Army Coastal Battery 470 and 150 MG 34 machine guns arrived for installation in the fortifications on Jersey.
The quartermaster appendix noted the administrative consequences of exchanging the two divisions and the measures required for the island establishment. The surviving text is partly obscured; it includes provision for medical support and the Granville base, additional equipment for the island furlough or transit organisation, and personnel figures for the expanded 319th Infantry Division.
