30 June 1942 St Malo monthly convoy charts

June 1942 convoy-request chart: 118 requested; 112 requested and executed on the same day; three requested and executed later; four executed but requested earlier; three requested and refused. The fourth category records earlier requests fulfilled, not convoys performed before being requested.

The accompanying tonnage chart is partly covered by its archival slip, obscuring its upper scale, bar tops and heading. Exact daily tonnages cannot all be recovered from this image. Visible vessel-count row, 1–30 June: 14, 11 [possibly 14], 10, 20, 11, 17, 9, 14, 20, 15, 5, 18, 4, 15, 12, 14, 15, 13, 16, 8 [overwritten; uncertain], 5, 22, 29, 8, 9, 12, 15, 4, 7, 9. With the provisional readings 11 and 8, these add to 381, differing from the diary’s monthly total of 368. Both are retained with the reading limitations.

The closing schedules for the two half-months give 118,590 and 95,375 GRT, a combined 213,965 GRT, differing by 2,470 from the monthly narrative total of 211,495 GRT. The source contains corrections and discrepancies; no adjusted monthly total is substituted.
