30 July 1942 Alderney Harbour Commandant diary

Clear, visibility 6 nautical miles, NE 1–2, sea 1. 0505: HS 183/192 returned from patrol. 0950: Vp 708/712 departed for Cherbourg with Georgi. 1500: HS 184/187 departed for Guernsey. 2315: HS 12/135 went to patrol position. During the afternoon, 1400–1600, the office held grenade-throwing practice with live German and French hand grenades.
