30 April 1943 Channel Islands Sea Defence diary
Weather: wind 225°, 5 m/sec. At about 16:00, the convoy from Jersey to Guernsey was attacked with gunfire near La Corbière by two British aircraft, probably reconnaissance machines. Part of the convoy turned back towards Jersey.
FK 56/57 brought the lighter Nestor and the tank lighter Tokin from the convoy to Guernsey. South of Sark, 21 aircraft were sighted at great distance.
The lighter Mazagan was hit on the bridge, causing one serious and one slight casualty. No other damage was recorded. Escort boat FK 13 engaged the attacking aircraft, expending 10 rounds 2-cm. Hits were observed on the tail assembly.
