3 March 1942 St Malo convoy diary
Weather: SE light breeze, visibility 2 nautical miles, very calm sea. V 210/V 207 sailed St Malo–Alderney and brought the body of M 1208’s commander to St Malo. Other requested convoys were carried out; situation reported to the division.
Situation: V 208/V 213 ready St Malo. V 205 at Alderney with rudder and propeller damage; V 212 ready there. V 210/V 207 St Malo–Alderney and back with the body. V 209/V 211 Guernsey–Jersey–St Malo, Favorit and Helma for Jersey, H 2 and Claus Wilhelm with troops for St Malo. V 204/V 206 boiler cleaning St Malo. Escorted tonnage: 3,045 GRT.
Intention for 4 March: V 207/V 208/V 211 St Malo–Granville with Holstein, Gabes and Holland carrying troops, then Granville–Jersey with Holstein, Gabes, Holland, RO 8, Paul et Jeannine, Gunivers, two lighters, B 113 S and two barges. Paul et Jeannine, RO 8 and Holland to continue Guernsey; Adolphe le Prince with troops from Guernsey to Alderney. V 205 damaged Alderney; after V 211 arrives, V 211/V 205/V 212 to Cherbourg, V 205 to dock and V 211 ready. V 210/V 209/V 213 ready St Malo; V 204/V 206 boiler cleaning.
