3 April 1944 Channel Islands Sea Defence diary
Weather: wind from 135°, 9 metres per second. From 3 April the following are housed in permanent fortifications: the Sea Commandant's command post with telephone exchange and artillery wireless station; Channel Islands Naval Signals Officer with naval wireless station and Guernsey teleprinter office; emergency power and diesel generating sets supplying all power for the signals officer and the Sea Commandant's command post.
St Helier net barrier unserviceable; repair duration uncertain. Naval Artillery Battalion 604 begins its third troop-specialist course.
