29 October, 00:25: M 4615/V 203 secured Cherbourg, normal readiness. 14:35, escort-office G 6448: sail this evening to test detection by newly installed Alderney radar, initially ordered SDG (F), route Cherbourg–Ida 16–Ida 17–BF 3541–3544–Ida 14–Alderney, collect convoy there for Cherbourg. Barrage officer for V 203 arrives Cherbourg 17:00. 15:10 amendment: boats to proceed without gear. 16:00: measures/departure report to harbour commandant. 21:30: sailed under M 4615. 22:15: Point 254. 23:00: Point 324. 23:30: Point 326. 24:00: Ida 16. M 4610 normal readiness at Saint-Malo.
