Weather: Channel E force 6–8, western entrance force 5–6. The night Guernsey–Alderney convoy with V 207/04 [04 as printed] failed owing to weather; ordered to try again tonight if weather permits. No other requests.
Correction to 28 April, item 2: ready Guernsey, NNE force 7, did not sail; tonnage 400 GRT. Situation: V 206/08/09/10/12 St Malo, lock closed; V 207/11 ready Guernsey, night Alderney convoy weather permitting; V 1510/204 ready Cherbourg according to 3rd Security Division; UJ 1404/11 St Malo; V 213/05 unready Cherbourg; V 704 ready Cherbourg. Tonnage 1,150 GRT, corrected next day to nil.
