28 July 1941 Channel Islands Harbour Commandant diary
St Helier, 07:10: Wind west, force 2; sea state 2; visibility 10 nautical miles. Two patrol boats, two tugs and four barges sailed for St Malo.
Patrol boats V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4008 entered Jersey from St Malo with two tugs and four barges carrying an Army battery of three 21 cm mortars. V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4008 sailed for Guernsey at 20:10.
St Peter Port, 23:45: V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4008 entered Guernsey.
