VII. Unit administrations. The following organisation takes effect in my command area on 1 September 1940.
1. Sea Commandant Cherbourg—Administration. The former Normandy Sector Commandant's Administration is renamed Sea Commandant Cherbourg—Administration, at Cherbourg, under Senior Administrative Officer Lieutenant (Administration) Wensky. Assigned administratively: Sea Commandant Cherbourg headquarters; Mine and Barrier Weapons Command, Naval Artillery Depot, Naval Garrison Administration, Naval Weather Service, Port Commandant, Harbour Master, Harbour Surveillance Office and Harbour Protection Flotilla, all at Cherbourg; Port Commandant and harbour surveillance branch at Granville; harbour surveillance branch at Carteret; Port Commandant Channel Islands; Harbour Surveillance Office St Pierre; harbour surveillance branch St Helier; and Naval Signals Officer Cherbourg with naval radio and signal stations.
It also serves as paying office for the Naval Supply Office and shipyard and Naval Service Office establishments in Cherbourg until an administrative official arrives.
