27 September: order: M 4612 and M 4601 with tug Le Cerf at 08:00 to provide anti-aircraft protection during overhaul of Minquiers 5 buoy; return in evening. 08:00: sailed with Le Cerf under M 4612's commander. Formation in original. Wind NE 3–4, sea 2–3, visibility 10 nautical miles. 09:30: Ida 1. 11:00: Minquiers 5. 11:25–13:45: tug crew worked on buoy. 14:30: commenced return. 14:40: Ida 1. Anchored in Saint-Malo roads [time not separately clear].
Escort office orders both boats to remain in roads and join M 4600's Jersey convoy at 21:00. Boat Order 515: M 4600, M 4603 and M 4606 into lock at 20:00 with H 115 S and H 65 PM, tank lighter René, Guêpe 76 and [lighter identification unclear], H 5 MO and H 229 PM. M 4612 and M 4601 to join convoy. 20:30: M 4612, M 4601, M 4603, M 4606 and M 4600 with tug Quatrième and tank lighter René, Guêpe 76 with H 119 PM, and tug H 5 MO with H 229 PM commenced escort to Jersey under M 4612's commander.
