27 February 1942 St Malo convoy diary

V 204’s magnetic-protection installation was repaired in “M.” [abbreviation as printed]. V 204/V 209 left Cherbourg about 19:00 and entered St Malo at 22:00. Other convoys proceeded as intended.

Situation: V 208/V 213 departed Alderney 02:00 for Cherbourg with convoy. V 205/V 212 left St Malo with H 2 carrying troops for Jersey and Schockland for Guernsey. V 210/V 207 departed Guernsey with RO 8 for Alderney, then continued to Cherbourg after releasing her; from there with Rheinland and Antonius via Alderney to Granville. V 211 repairs St Malo, expected ready 28 February. V 209/V 204 entered St Malo. V 206 boiler cleaning. Escorted tonnage: 4,337 GRT.

Intention for 28 February: V 208/V 213 Cherbourg–Alderney with Gerfried and Claus Wilhelm, then St Malo. V 205/V 212 Guernsey–Alderney, then with convoy to Cherbourg to relieve V 208/V 213. V 210/V 207 from Cherbourg with Rheinland and St Antonius for Granville, collecting RO 8 at Alderney and proceeding via Guernsey and Jersey. V 209/V 211 St Malo–Granville without convoy; V 204 ready St Malo; V 206 boiler cleaning.
