25 February 1944 Vehicles transferred from the islands to Saint Malo

24–25 February Major Pawlowski and Government Construction Councillor Meyer visit Rennes, St-Malo, Granville and Fougères. 1) Vehicles from Channel Islands. Rennes: Army Vehicle Park 528 still holds 26 cars; 265th Infantry Division receives these for mobility. St-Malo outstation of Park 528: during 21–25 February, nine trucks, 24 delivery vans, 60 cars and one motorcycle arrive from Channel Islands and are taken over. Following inspection, six trucks and fifteen vans can be operational in about eight days, 4 March. Repairs to remaining trucks/vans expected to take longer. Cars not yet checked. Vehicles at Hopmann workshop.
