Battery Annes engaged the escort destroyer in grid square B.F. 3516 with five salvos. The ship made smoke and, changing course at high speed, ran north-east beyond visibility and range. One hit was observed. Ammunition expenditure: 20 rounds of 15 cm high-explosive shell with base fuze, 4.6-metre height setting.
