24 June 1941 Completion of island infantry reinforcement
The infantry reinforcement of the garrisons on all three islands was completed on 24 June without disruption by enemy attack from the air or sea. The formations employed were: on Guernsey, Infantry Regiment 584 of 319th Infantry Division and Machine-Gun Battalion 16; on Jersey, Infantry Regiment 582 of 319th Infantry Division, previously corps reserve; and on Alderney, one reinforced company of Infantry Regiment 277 of 83rd Infantry Division.
