23 July, 00:20: released convoy off Granville. Wind N 2–3, sea 1, moderate visibility. 01:05: harbour commandant advises that the boats can no longer enter. M 4605, M 4601 and M 4607 anchored in Granville roads. 11:20: weighed anchor. 11:55: secured in Granville harbour. Verbal order: sail at 23:30 with Rose-Marguerite, Gabès, Comptoir 51 and PK 13 for Jersey; next night onward with Bizon, Isigny, Tourane and Mazagan to Guernsey. 23:15: boats cast off for the task. 23:55: took over convoy. Wind N 2, sea 1, hazy, visibility 3–4 nautical miles. Formation in original. Signed Ertel.
