23-25 August 1944

Battery Strasbourg, Guernsey, and 5./1265, Jersey, drove off an enemy destroyer and two motor torpedo boats attacking German craft on the Guernsey-Jersey route. The German boats entered St Helier undamaged. The diary also records repeated supply voyages from Jersey to the isolated Battery Ile de Cezembre, carrying ammunition, weapons, fuel, water, medical supplies and a doctor, and returning with wounded men.
