Weather: wind 270°, 2 m/sec. The Alderney radar set was out of operation owing to a technical defect. The time required to restore it was uncertain because it could not be repaired with the resources available on Alderney.
From 1700 to 1750, Batterie Strasbourg fired in two Polish 7.5-cm light field guns. Expenditure: sixteen 7.5-cm high-explosive rounds and four 7.5-cm illuminating rounds.
The retrospective account under 19 April records that the 46th Minesweeping Flotilla detonated a second mine in the Little Russel, at 49°29.4′ N, 2°29′ W, in 19 metres of water.
