22 October, 00:35: cast off. 00:45: in 3.50 m water boat ceased responding to rudder and engines; draught 3.50 m forward, 4.60 m aft. 01:15: towing assistance by lighter Rabat; even at lighter's full speed boat could not be turned to port. 01:17: M 4615 secured again, sounding 3.20 m. 01:20: ordered M 4610 to anchor with convoy in roads. 09:10: reported to escort office/harbour commandant: unable to sail because water too low, convoy anchored outside with M 4610. 13:10: ordered M 4610 ready 15:00. 13:32: M 4615 cast off. 14:58: anchored in Granville roads [adjacent entries' time alignment partly unclear].
15:00: boats weighed to carry out escort. 15:40, Le Pignon: took over Rabat and Isigny under M 4615. 16:00: SW 3–4, sea 2–3, overcast. 17:35: Ida 11. 18:45, Saint Aubin's Bay: released convoy to enter Saint Helier. 18:50: signal station: task cancelled, anchor in Saint Aubin's roads, protect Midsland against aircraft, enter 02:00. 19:03: anchored and assumed protection. 20:00: WSW 3, sea 2, overcast.
