Diary Entry
22 February 1944 Channel Islands Sea Defence diary
Weather: wind from 45°, 13 metres per second. At 20:40 Luftwaffe Flak radar equipment reported repeated detections during the day of several aircraft flying low or very low in squares BF 2662, 2663 and 2666. Despite their approximately constant range, bearing and low altitude, a search or rescue operation was not assumed, because the aircraft were again detected after dark. Report sent to Admiral Channel Coast.
