21 June 1944

At midnight an enemy air attack, preceded by illumination flares, was made on a U-boat in St Peter Port harbour. The boat was undamaged and one attacking aircraft was claimed shot down. The radar stations at Le Vihou, Jobourg, Jersey, Guernsey I and II, and Alderney were reported operational. [T-1022/2174, PG 38469, scans 0580-0581]
