Weather: wind south-south-west, force 6–8; sea state 5; visibility 6 nautical miles; cloud 10/10; cloud base 1,000 metres.
The planned Guernsey–Jersey supply convoy was postponed for 24 hours because of the weather. Around midday, during a temporary improvement in visibility, a destroyer was sighted on the southern waiting station.
