18 February 1944 Channel Islands Sea Defence diary
Weather: wind from 158°, 13 metres per second. At 12:20 Guernsey Harbour Commandant reported the harbour barrier out of action because a support had broken. It could not at present be closed. Repairs would be made with local resources when the weather improved.
