16 June 1944
From 02:58 to 03:12 Batteries Annes and Blucher, Alderney, engaged radar-located enemy targets, assessed as torpedo boats or destroyers. The targets withdrew westwards at high speed while altering course. No hits were observed. [T-1022/2174, PG 38468, scans 0426 and 0438]
At 00:00 Pondichery and Saigon sailed from Jersey for Granville. In Guernsey, the OT coastal motor vessel Karel was severely damaged by bomb hits and burnt out.
