One E-boat returning alone to Cherbourg owing to engine damage classified as unknown in locating signal. Radar Reporting Station suspected own E-boat from course and speed, subsequently confirmed by arrival report. Particularly favourable ranges on 16 January: E-boats from Jobourg out to 18 km; single E-boat also 18.3 km. Alderney detects E-boats to 12.4 km. WR Cap Lévy seven motor minesweepers to 11.6 km; La Pernelle to 20 km; Percée to 5.8 km; Arromanches Gema to 11.3 km and WR Arromanches to 15.3 km. Three locating signals for navigational assistance.
