Item 1 — reference to page 299

The light-metal foundations of S 112’s auxiliary machinery show severe and alarming signs of corrosion. An attempt was made to prevent further deterioration by pouring in white metal. Beyond this, inspection of the entire installation shows that a major overhaul will shortly be necessary; this cannot be carried out with the means and facilities available.
