16 April 1943 Enemy intelligence 1
11 April, 06:20: one enemy aircraft shot down four kilometres southeast of Jersey; wreck burned out on the rocks. One Englishman rescued by an air-sea rescue boat; two others drowned. 12 April, about 22:30: a burning four-engined British bomber made an emergency landing at Cussy, six kilometres northwest of Caen, after anti-aircraft fire. Two prisoners at the aircraft; one crewman burned; four others handed to the Luftwaffe. Two of them, Polish nationals, were caught a day later. A crate of sabotage material was found near the aircraft.
