Weather: wind from 180°, 1–2 metres per second.
00:00: S.B. measures had previously been requested through Sea Commander Normandy because the Channel Islands command’s existing communications could not handle them. From 15 August at 00:00 the Channel Islands Sea Commander initiated measures NS, NT, NU, NV, NA and NÖ [codes retained as printed].
00:30: Obergefreiter Hartmann, anti-aircraft detachment leader aboard the “Kümose” Corona [source vessel term], was wounded in the right thigh by a stray round during firing practice by Anti-Aircraft Regiment 40 on Jersey. An incident report to determine responsibility was to be submitted.
