Fresh W–SW breeze, visibility five to eight nautical miles, moderately disturbed sea. 01:45 Cherbourg: V 708/712 arrive with convoy. 05:35 Alderney: V 209/204 return from position. 06:45 St Malo: V 203/M 4611 arrive with troop convoy. 08:00 Alderney: V 209/204 sail for Cherbourg. 08:15 St Malo: M 4601/4604/4605 sail with convoy for Jersey. 09:00 Granville: V 711/724 sail with RO 8 for Guernsey.
Convoy requests: night troop convoy Alderney–Guernsey; night troop convoy St Malo–Guernsey; day convoy Alderney–Cherbourg; day convoy St Malo–Jersey; day convoy Granville–Guernsey. The first is postponed 24 hours because last night’s Guernsey–Alderney troop convoy did not sail and V 713/729 are consequently absent from Alderney; its harbour commandant is notified. V 203/206 receive the second task, V 209/204 the third, M 4601/4604/4605 the fourth, V 711/724 the fifth. 10:00 Cherbourg: V 209/204 arrive with Georgi from Alderney.
