14 August, 00:36: Ida 5. 00:45, off Jersey: V 203 exchanged ES signals with harbour-protection boats. 00:55: took Bordeaux into convoy. 01:00: adopted hedgehog formation. 01:55: Ida 3. 02:30: Ida 2. Wind SSW 5, sea 4–5, visibility 2 nautical miles. 03:40: Ida 1. 03:45: adopted line ahead. 04:00: lay in Saint-Malo roads with engines stopped, awaiting lock passage; fog banks. Wind SW by S, sea 4, visibility 10 nautical miles. 04:55: entered lock. 05:34: secured at berth, normal readiness.

14:00, Boat Order 442: V 204 with Bordeaux and Minotaure to Jersey–Guernsey. Release V 204 with Bordeaux off Corbière to enter Saint Helier. V 714 and M 4627 to proceed to Guernsey with Minotaure. Return convoy the following night; collect V 204 and Bordeaux again off Corbière. V 714's commander to lead. 18:00: escort office postponed task 24 hours. Signed König.
