14 August 1941 Channel Islands Harbour Commandant diary
St Helier, 12:10: Wind west, force 3-5; drizzle and fog; visibility 1-3 nautical miles. Steamer H 7, escorted by patrol boats V.P. 4000 and V.P. 4008, sailed for Guernsey.
13:15: H 2 entered carrying engineer equipment and gun-platform baseplates (Bettungsplatten).
St Peter Port, 16:00: the incoming H.S. 23 reported shooting a large lead-horn mine near the St Peter Port approach buoy.
