13 June 1943 Mine clearance and return to Saint Peter Port
13 June. Main group deployed 30-metre sweep at 330 at 0130, double echelon 300 metres, W force two, sea state 1–2, good visibility. Searched previously unswept central area in three strips, five cutter detonations, some mines surfaced. Then three east–west strips along minefield, five further cutter detonations. Dawn permitted clear observation of explosive and cutting floats surfacing in two cases. Gear recovered north of 330 at 0610, St Peter Port secured 0735.
