Subject: “Harpune Süd”. Reference: Naval Staff Operations Division Iop 573/41, secret command matter, commanders only (sent only to Group West).
The following nautical material is being prepared for “Harpune Süd”:
1. Sketch maps of the enemy coastal strip, scale 1:25,000.
2. Tide tables giving daily times and heights of high and low water for Portland, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Exmouth, Torquay and Start Point.
3. Tide tables of the same kind as under 2 for the following French coastal ports: Alderney, Guernsey, St Hélier, St Malo, Le Légué, Morlaix, Brest, Lanros, Lorient, Vannes, St Nazaire, Nantes, La Rochelle and Rochefort.
4. Tidal-stream atlas for the western half of the Channel (No. 2300 B), together with the reference-time sheet for 1941.
5. Charts of tidal streams on the French Atlantic coast, together with a table of high-water times at Brest, which is the reference time to be used for the tidal-stream charts.
6. Calendar of sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset.
