13 February 1944 Army report of mined vessels between Jersey and Saint Malo

Editorial note: Additional Seventh Army account of an incident already represented in the master; this is not an additional action. The Army report uses “RS-boats” without identifying them; the existing Sea Defence diary records FK 18 and FK 23 during this mine-loss episode. No additional pair of losses is inferred.

2. During the night of 12/13 February:

b. Between Jersey and Saint-Malo, two RS-boats [abbreviation retained] struck mines and sank. Crews rescued.
