13 August: escort office boat order [number unclear]: M 4615, M 4610 and M 4618 into lock at 19:00 with Irene, Meteor, Corona and Spes Salutis; pass outward and anchor in roads; take over Jersey convoy at 22:00; arrange necessary measures independently. 18:20: boats cast off for lock. 19:08: cleared lock. 19:16: anchored in roads. 20:10: Morse message from Saint-Malo naval signal station: coastal motor vessel Spes Salutis to enter harbour through next lock, by order of Sea Transport Chief. 20:30: released Spes Salutis accordingly. 21:45: minesweepers weighed anchor and sailed with convoy for Jersey under M 4615's commander. Formation in original. 24:00: wind W 4–5, sea 3–4, cloudy, moderate visibility. M 4612 ready to sail in Saint-Malo. Signed Meier.
