12 July, 00:05: passed Ida 5, W force 4, sea 4, cloudy, visibility fifteen nautical miles. 03:45: M 4613, V 727 and RO 8 secured at berth 4, Saint Peter Port. Harbour Commandant ordered escort of Rheinland, Isigny and Comptoir 66 to Granville. 21:35: cast off. 21:40: took over convoy off harbour and proceeded. SW force 5–6, sea 5, cloudy, visibility twenty nautical miles. Formation: M 4613 leading, Rheinland and Isigny abreast behind, Comptoir 66 behind them, V 727 astern.
